Lieutenant Cody Monroe

Lt. Monroe has served with the Orange Park Police Department since 2007 holding positions with OPPD as a Patrol Officer, Patrol Corporal, Detective, Patrol Sergeant and currently as an Administrative Lieutenant supervising the Investigations Division, the School Resource Officer Division, the Evidence Section, and the Crossing Guard Staff.  Lt. Monroe continues to serve as the agency Public Information Officer and has done so for approximately 8 years managing all media relations and social media content.  Lt. Monroe served on the Clay County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team from 2010 to 2022, rising to the position of Team Leader.  Lt. Monroe holds a Bachelors and Master’s Degree from American Military University and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy’s 280th Session.
